Currently I’m attending University and coming very close to graduating. I have only a minimal number of courses left to complete to obtain my degree. According to myGradPlan UFV, I am still needing a class in “use and interpretation of numerical data” and I am planning on taking STAT 104 (Intro to Statistics) to fulfill that requirement. I also need my PORT 399 Requirement which I plan on registering for next semester, Winter 2020. In the  “professional competency” requirement I am hoping to use my experience playing collegiate baseball down in Marshall Missouri to fulfill my “affiliated study tour” requirement. Since I have attended and taken classes at 4 different Universities, I have to schedule a meeting with my academic advisor in order to see if I will be able use those credits for that option. The skills that I will develop in these courses will be discipline and creativity. Statistics will give me the ability to analyze numbers and have the ability to understand what they mean. PORT 399 will give me the ability to refine my career goals and what else I’ve learned in this course like: specifics and short-term goals I can make for myself, as well as develop a step by step plan for achieving those goals.

In order to build my portfolio, I feel it is important to continue to add my school and career learnings and experiences. I believe that school teachings and learnings can help prepare you for certain experiences you may have on your own in the world, and career experiences are having to deal with real possibilities and consequences on your own with creative avenues in order to complete the activity with the basic framework learned in school. My personal skills and interests will be refined overtime and contribute to interpersonal learning to enhance my skills that I will be able to use in the future, or correct previous learnings now that I have new information. I will continue to improve my personal and professional portfolio overtime and as I gain new experiences and use past experiences as a base to reflect on and learn.
